The Access to Information Programme (AIP) Foundation
The Access to Information Programme (AIP) Foundation is a nongovernmental organization established in 1996 in Sofia. The mission of AIP is to assist the exercise of the right of access to information.

The AIP has been running a permanent campaign for improving the access to information situation in Bulgaria and has been actively participating in international networks and initiatives related to the right to information.

The AIP monitors and advocates for better Access to Information legislation and implementation practices; performs special surveys on government transparency; provides legal help including representation in court in access to information cases; holds access to information trainings for civil servants, journalists, and NGOs; raises public awareness on the right of access to information through media campaigns, specialized events, publications, books, handbooks, and variety of information channels.
